Trump Refuses to Release Off-the-Record Comments with NYT

At the GOP debate on Thursday evening, Donald Trump said he has no plans to release off the record comments he made with The New York Times editorial board regarding flexibility on illegal immigration.

Fox News’ Megyn Kelly pressed the real estate mogul on the issue, wondering specifically whether he told the editorial board if he’s flexible with his deportation plan.

Trump confirmed the meeting but refused to release the off the record comments, saying he has “too much respect for that process.”

“In terms of immigration and anything else, there has to be [a little bit of tug and pull], you have to have some flexibility, some negotiation,” he said.

“How flexibility are you on the issue?” Kelly fired back.

“Not very flexible,” he said. “There’s always give and take."
