Contempt Charges Filed Against Eric Holder for Fast and Furious Stonewalling

It's official, Chairman of the House Oversight Committee Darrell Issa has filed more than 60 pages of contempt charges against Attorney General Eric Holder. Issa has sent a 17 page long summary version of the charges to committee members. The first 40 pages of the more than 60 page citation, list all of the actions subject to contempt in this case.

Issa just appeared on Fox News to discuss the charges.

'We've gotten to that point where it is clear they are not going to get the documents."

"They've closed up and covered up."

"We're not doing it because we want to, we're doing this because we have a role."

"If you lie to Congress then cover up the lie, that's not suppossed to be covered," Issa said in reference to DOJ saying they won't release more info due to an on going investigation.

"The time has come for them to tell us how they misled and how they lied."

"We want to know about who knew about it."

The Justice Department has released a typical and redundant response to the charges:

"The department continues to comply with the committee's requests."

During the interview, Issa would not confirm whether or not House Speaker John Boehner was in support of moving forward with charges.
