Nehlen Rips Paul Ryan, the Speaker has "Shown More Passion Attacking Trump than Defending Americans"

Just one week before the primary election in Wisconsin, Paul Ryan is having to deal with a commoner from his district who is proving to be more than just a local distraction to his agenda.

Paul Nehlen, the man who says that Ryan has betrayed the people of Wisconsin and America, has repeated attacked the Speaker of the House and has sided with Republican nominee Donald Trump on almost every issue.

“Paul Ryan has been in Congress for 18 years. He is the epitome of a career politician. He was grown in a Petri dish in D.C. and climbed to the top of the D.C. food chain,” Nehlen told The Hill in an interview earlier this year.

On Tuesday, Nehlen released a scathing indictment of Ryan's legacy in Congress.

“Paul Ryan has shown more passion in attacking Trump than he has ever shown in defending Americans,” Nehlen wrote.

“Throughout this election cycle, the American people made themselves resoundingly clear. In nominating Mr. Trump, they voted for borders, they voted for trade deals that protect American jobs and wages, and they voted to defend national sovereignty. On all of these issues, Paul Ryan finds himself firmly against the American people… on these critical issues, Paul Ryan sides with Hillary Clinton and his corporate donors.”

Trump himself even gave Ryan's challenger a shout out on Twitter.

Nehlen faces tough odds in the August 9th primary.  A Washington Free Beacon poll from May showed Ryan ahead by 73 points.
