'Conservative' WaPo Columnist: Huckabee Sanders Deserves 'Life Sentence' of Harassment

Washington Post columnist and MSBNC contributor Jennifer Rubin believes that White House Press Secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders had it coming when she walked into Red Hen restaurant last month. She "wouldn't have served her either." Rubin shared her unpopular opinion on Sunday's AM Joy. Sanders, Rubin added, "has no right to live a life of no fuss, no muss" because she and the entire Trump administration have waged a war on the press. Trump has repeatedly incited violence against the press at his campaign rallies and Sanders has done the same in the press room, Rubin argued.

Echoing Rep. Maxine Waters's (D-CA) controversial sentiments, Rubin urged protesters to gang up on Sanders when possible.

"Sarah Huckabee has no right to live a life of no fuss, no muss, after lying to the press - after inciting against the press," Rubin said. "These people should be made uncomfortable, and I think that's a life sentence frankly."

That would be much more "effective" than kicking her out of a restaurant, she reasoned.

The "conservative" columnist also urged Sens. Susan Collins (R-ME) and Lisa Murkowski (R-AK) to vote their conscience and vote against any Trump Supreme Court nominee who opposes abortion.

"Let's get a million people to go to Maine or a million people to go to Alaska and start putting pressure on those Senators. So it's perfectly civil to do that - no one is telling them to be violent protesters, but we're not going to let these people go through life unscathed."

In recent months, Rubin has also urged House Speaker Paul Ryan to find his soul before he leaves Congress.

Don't expect her to publish an op-ed on civility anytime soon.
