What is Liberalism? Jeopardy's Not-so-Subtle Political Agenda

Contestants had an interesting category to choose from on Jeopardy last night. For the second time, participants could pick “A Binder Full of Women” to try and guess the pictures of famous and powerful female leaders. The category’s title was an obvious potshot at former presidential candidate Mitt Romney for a comment he made at a town hall debate last year and more proof of ABC’s leftist political agenda.

It appears ABC is determined to mock Republicans any chance they can get – even a year after the Party loses an election. The network first introduced its ‘Binder Full of Women’ category in February, featuring women such as Supreme Court Justice Sonia Sotomayor and German Chancellor Angela Merkel.

Bindergate’ became a desperate attempt by the liberal media to shift criticism from President Obama to the former governor of Massachusetts in the months before the 2012 presidential election by turning Romney’s otherwise innocent comments into controversy. When asked by a town hall participant to respond to claims he was waging a ‘war on women,’ Romney explained how his former staff brought him ‘binders full of women’ to fill roles in his office. Granted, his wording was a bit awkward, but the governor obviously meant well and his history of recruiting qualified female leaders to serve in state government more than proves his dedication to empowering women in the workplace. Nevertheless, ABC couldn't help revisiting 'Bindergate.'

In another instance of political pandering, Jeopardy host Alex Trebek challenged contestants to pick “That’s What Che Said” in May for the College Jeopardy tournament, dedicating a whole category to the life of communist mass murderer Che Guevara.

ABC is used to promoting a leftist agenda on its morning talk shows and primetime programming, but on a game show? Surely Jeopardy’s producers could have come up with a less politically-motivated name than ‘Binders Full of Women.’ For starters, how about ‘Famous Female Leaders.’ But, that wouldn’t match the network’s liberal aims.

I’ll take ‘ABC’s Liberal Agenda’ for $1,000 please.
