I've held more than a few cent-percent caucasian babies/toddlers (ages between 2 months and 2 years) between 1987 and 2009; generally, they have taken well to my handling, even if they never knew me prior; in some cases I could possibly attribute it to my wearing eyeglasses and/or large shiny watch, or traditional Indian clothes (which I wear for church on Sundays) except that I was able to hold the same children (and others) later wearing plain (even dull) American clothes and ugly Swatch--and without the eyeglasses!

I went to a grade school where there were black and white children(mid 1970's). We had sleep overs at each others houses. The difference in our skin colors didn't matter.

Somehow in junior high school and high school all that changed. The black kids withdrew from us and hung out with only other black kids. At lunch there was a "black table", which was self-imposed. Evidently there was a lot of peer pressure for any of the black kids that didn't conform. So, I lost my black friends, that wasn't my choice and I still don't understand it till today.

I was 14 years old when I began speaking what I call "The Language of Racism tm" (don't bother, I already trademaked it!). That was the year I found out that there was a difference between black and white. My foudation had already been set so to me, the difference was strange. Racism only exists as long as we continue to speak the language of it. The goal should not be anti-racism nor diversity. The gols should be Anti-Race. Therefore eliminating the Language of Racism!!

I've seen many small children playing together without bias or discrimination in my life time.

Just watch them at the local play ground. They don't care, nor do I suspect, even notice the race, skin color or sex of their playmates. The sole purpose of life for a child is to play and have fun. And they will play with any child they perceive they can have fun with.

The only discrimination is by age. In a community setting, a child will most likely gravitate to other children of similar age than to older or younger children to play with.
