I hope all the Republican opponents will be conservatives - not just another liberal option from another party. I am sending money directly to campaigns of conservative Republicans. I am sick of liberal (i.e.moderate) Republicans. Let's take our country back to it's roots.

When Jerry Costello (D-IL 12) voted for Obama care, he gave me a tremendous gift since I am running against him for the 12th Congressional seat in Illinois' 12th district. EVERYONE I talk to is very very angry about this vote. The fact that he took nearly 3 million in campaign "donations" from PACs while running UNOPPOSED is infuriating to everyone and he is definitely going to lose his seat in November 2010. After 23 years of a mediocre Representative (he sponsored FIVE BILLS in 23 years--what does this guy do all day long??) the people are adamant that it's time for a change.

Why not contribute to all opponents of vulnerable Democrats? Even if they voted against the health reform bill, they voted for Pelosi, didn't they? As long as a Dem is Speaker, we are in danger. We might be in danger with a Republican as Speaker too, but the odds are a little better.

Hugh, I didn't see anything in your piece that said what happens if any of these misled democraps actually oppose Obamacare when it's finally voted on. I didn't see anything about this on the RTV website either...

If they know these funds are going to their opponents REGARDLESS, how is that going to motivate them?

I think the funds should be divided among the opponents of those who vote for Obamacare in the final version, and those who vote against it should be spared--still wayward, but capable of redemption. ...and the more that bail, the worse it is for the diehards.

I suppose they could still be bought off, but with a consequence.

If they make enough people poor and dependent on their handouts, people are people. Vast numbers think the money is just there to give to them. Obama, Obama, Obama! They will cheat, as they tried to do to keep Christie from winning in NJ. People showed up to vote and found absentee ballots has already been cast in their name. The new arrangement was only been put in, last July. They will bus people to polls. Some will continue to vote for Obama just because he is black.(half, anyways). The info I got was that this number of pink slips would reach from D.C. to St Louis..and it's growing..it's already 1/2 million past the original goal. We sent ours in weeks ago.

You're giving one of these SOBs a free pass. I refer to Paul Hodes, NH Congressional District #2, who voted for this damn bill. I see they're targeting Shea-Porter in district #1 but that doesn't help me. This issue is that Hodes will almost certainly run for Judd Gregg's NH senate seat. So I respectfully request a new entry so I can donate to defeat Paul Hodes. I tried to leave this feedback on their web site but there wasn't any way to do it.

The Gap between the older generation and those generations which have followed is:
The older generation were actually taught History and Math. Many never went past the 8th grade, yet were productive citizen's and able to provide a good life for themselves and their families.
The following generstions have never been taught our Country's History, who wrote our Constitution or what our Constitution means. Nor do they care. Unfortunately, they will be unable to understand what the loss of our Constitution will mean to them.
They also were not taught simple Math, but unlike their ignorance of our Nation's Constitution, their ignorance of Math will hit them like a brick.

You forgot to mention that the "It's for the children" routine has already been used for the expansion of the State Child Health Insurance Program (SCHIPS) to include more children - even "children" up to age 25.

I don't know about when Medicare passed since I was in elementary school but you dims have been the fearmongerers year in and year out about the economy and Social Security/Medicare from Reagan to Gingrich to W.

I find it utterly amazing that conservatives now strongly endorse what you often called "socialist" Medicare. We can afford to care for old folks but not children?
