First off let me beg your pardon for missing this post TEA Party. Had I seen it I'd have answered it earlier. Now as to what church did I attend & why do I address Jesus by his Jewish name.
I went to quite a few different churches because I was active duty USMC for some of the time I was Christian. (cont)

I use his Jewish name because I am, myself, part Jewish on my father's side. I approached the study of Christianity from a Jewish perspective since that is where _Yeshua_ began his ministry. For any Faith worth claiming & accepting one should begin at the beginning. I've explained before how I came to where I am now but since you have been the soul of politeness I'll do so one more time. During my teen years I explored differing paths, different philosophies, different ways of controlling my anger.
I came to Yeshua at 18 before I joined the Corps. While I was in boot camp I was also taking bible study courses for new believers sponsored by the church I was attending. I grew in the faith & studied more & harder, married another Marine....

Did my time then got my discharge & raised a family. After my last child was born my husband decided to start cheating on me & accusing me of less than honorable acts. I submitted to him as a wife is supposed to, asked for prayers from my church in support & went on for a few years in this path with the verbal abuse growing worse. I stayed in the marriage till the abuse went to the physical level then sought more prayers from my church as to why I was having to bear that burden. I got no answer, no one in my church could get an answer, no matter how much fasting & prayer went on. I held on till my ex abused my kids. That was my line in the sand. This situation did not manifest overnight needless to say.

I joined it on November 5, 2006, when I attended the Sanford Unitarian Universalist Church. I was a member there for 2 1/2 years. Then I moved here in October of 2009, and started attending the Franconia Community Church of Christ, and I joined it in 2011.

Many other queers go Unitarian. Not the place for Christian faith.

Why is a man's faith such an issue. How many of us know great people from different faiths!!! It's getting weird when there is a faith based this and then faith group that - let people from every religion pray to know for themselves, listen for themselves, do the homework themselves, discuss it amongst themselves. Stand for who you believe - not based on a religious coalition. In my faith we are told to be involved, teach our children about the constitution, learn about the candidates and make a decision on our own. If my ecclesiastical leaders are telling me I am capable of making a good decision, I know we all can.

We, people of faith, need to stand together or our "freedom of religion" (whichever it may be) will be taken away. I think, too, that as people of faith, we are able to recognize evil and be able to call it out in order to defeat it.

Our faith can never really be taken away from us. How we practice it can be but what's in our hearts, never.

He then said, "no man goes to the Father except through (Jesus) the Son."
