Fox News Obama Watch Will End

Fox News anchor Chris Wallace has literally been counting the minutes until Democratic presidential candidate Barack Obama would appear on his show for the last two years.

And now Wallace can quit counting. Obama has agreed to participate in a one-on-one pre-taped interview with Wallace from Marion, Indiana on Saturday. The spot will air Sunday on Fox News Sunday.

According to Wallace, Obama promised to come on the show more than two years ago at a Gridiron dinner--a promise Wallace took seriously. On the air in March, Wallace launched “Obama Watch” to pressure the Democratic presidential candidate to make time in his schedule for Wallace.

"Many of you have sent us e-mails asking why the senator won't come on 'Fox News Sunday' and face tough questioning," Wallace said. "It has now been 730 days, 13 hours, 53 minutes and nine — no, 10 seconds and counting since Obama agreed to be a guest on 'Fox News Sunday.'"
