Do you feel the leaked information from a global warming alarmist organization is meaningful?

It's time for a change. Next month, I leave ABC News to start a weekly one-hour prime time show with Fox News.

When I announced that on my blog, plenty of viewers said they were happy to have me leave.

"Goodbye. You suck. You have found a much better home for your garbage reporting and backwards politics."

"Congratulations on the move to the network intellectually suited to your quasi-libertarian corporate-apologist hackery!"

Oh well, you can't please everyone. I don't expect that my libertarian beliefs will please everyone at Fox, either.

of Corruption by Michelle Malkin FREE

Years ago, ABC hired me to do consumer reporting. When I wised up, deciding consumer "advocates" usually did more harm than good, that horrified some of my colleagues.

When I did my first TV special, I pointed out that regulation itself, by stifling innovation, can make life less safe. Two producers angrily objected, saying, "No respectable journalist would say that." The senior producer on the program smugly told me, "You just can't say that on network TV."

ABC's (now NBC's) research director, said: "Why do a show on risk assessment? You should do something on diet or breast implants -- something we know people will watch."

But give ABC credit. After bitter arguments, it ran the show, titled, "Are We Scaring You to Death?" A news division's vice president said, "I don't agree with you, but it's a valid intellectual argument that deserves to be made."

We were all surprised when 17 million Americans watched. We got 3,000 letters, many from scientists who wrote: "Thank God, somebody's finally saying these things. I can't believe I saw that on network television."

So I kept doing those kinds of reports.

My bosses often disagreed with my point of view, but they usually let me air it.

But it was frustrating. My vision and that of my producers were often not in harmony. Too many stories I thought were important -- such as the land theft called eminent domain, or the FDA's endangering people's lives by withholding life-saving drugs -- were not aired. Continued...

Congratulations on the move. Though I'm afraid you'll be preaching to the choir on Fox. I liked having you "out in the trenches" of mainstream media.

I just saw an alarming show on Oprah (love the person, hate her politics) where she was interviewing women of Denmark as "the happiest people on earth". She asked them how they feel about folks referring to their country as being socialist. They replied they prefer to say they are just "being civilized". To which Oprah replied "good for you". Newspeak is on the way (she has Obama's ear after all).

Could you please do a show on Denmark regarding their "happiest people" status as it relates to socialism? That show (and Oprah as she becomes more agenda-driven) desperately needs to have a counter-point.

Very much looking forward to your new show.

Welcome to the right side Mr. Stossel
I cannot tell you how happy I am to see you on Fox now.

I came to watch Fox after doing my own in depth research into Obama. I tried to educate people by posting my findings all over the web only to be attacked by Obama's paid message board attackers from Acorn, moveon.org, and Seiu. Took me a while to realize that they didn't want real info, but that they were dedicated to keeping the truth about Obama out of the media in any way possible.

Yet I continue to post what I know is the truth in whatever venue I find. We all have our niche and need to fill it.

By June 2008 I had way more info on Obama, from original sources than did Fox, yet didn't know that at the time. Eventually so many people accused me of getting all of my info from Fox...I decided that if Fox knew what I knew, then I should watch. By August 2008 I was watching Fox, thanks to those Obama backing idiots who attacked me with every insult known to man or women.

Even though my research was ahead of the Fox commentators, I realized that they were way ahead of the other media in every way. So I became a regular viewer. Now I am thankful to be a part of a group that knows the truth and doesn't shy away from the light.

John, you will be a great addition to Fox and I will look forward to your unfettered view of the world as you see it.

I'll look forward to your show and your insight.

Just to add my name to others, please have Thomas Sowell on your show. I only wish that he could have been our first black President. The man is a font of wisdom and he will be one of the many who are better appreciated for their contribution to society after he is gone than he has been all of these years.

In fact, I predict that the history books will praise Sowell more than Obama. Once Obama finishes breaking this country, those who called it out and those who fix it, will be raised much higher than Obama ever could have hoped for when he set about taking down this Republic.
