Dear Comrade LoonIT,

Come on, Loon.

I don’t just complain, although I will admit that I’m very good at complaining.

I also agitate, exasperate, bother, annoy, traumatize, enrage and vituperate. Especially vituperate. That’s my favorite.

And that’s just what I do to Republicans.

But why not complain? The economy still sucks despite unprecedented liberal spending. The banking system and healthcare systems are more broken than ever before because of unprecedented liberal interference. And the country is definitely less secure than when Obama took office, despite average Americans being asked to surrender their civil liberties to help promote his warped agenda.

Please tell us one major policy initiative of Obama’s that has worked for the benefit of ordinary Americans.

Taxes, higher.

Healthcare costs, higher.

Fuel costs, higher.

Wages, worse.

Inflation? Yep.

Housing, still broken.

If you thought the problem under Bush was that the rich were getting rich while the poor were getting poorer, then you must really have a problem with the progress made under Obama.

Because the problem isn’t just that prices and taxes are going up but wages on the low end are remaining stagnant.

From the Huffington Post in 2012:

In other words, inequality has been even more pronounced under Obama than it was under George W. Bush.

This news may not come as a shock if you're one of the many Americans who lost their job during the recession and couldn't find another that paid as well. It also might not surprise you if you're one of the 46 million people living in poverty -- a record number, as it happens -- or among the millions of Americans who can get by week to week, but would be ruined by a single financial emergency.

Investor’s Business Daily, noting the same research as HuffPos, said just last year that “[i]t's worth underscoring that the growing income gap under Obama isn't the result of the rich getting fabulously richer. Nor is it any sort of indictment of "trickle down" economics. Instead, it is the direct result of Obama's historically weak economic recovery, which has left the rest of the country falling behind while the wealthy have managed to make gains.”

Obama would like people to think that income is a function of the federal minimum wage. Then why didn’t Obama just magically raise it in 2009 and 2010 when he controlled both Houses of Congress? Then all he would have had to do was ride the wave of prosperity into the sunset.

Why didn’t the Huffington Post blame the minimum wage in 2012 for income inequality, so called?

I’ll tell you why: Because just like on immigration, if Democrats enacted anything on the minimum wage then they’d have to live with the consequences. They got burned on Obamacare already. How bad would it be if they had done of the other stupid things they promise, like immigration, cap and trade or minimum wage?

These are ideas that like Obamacare just don't work.

It’s hard to promise a chicken in every pot, when you don’t have the chicken and the only pot you have is made for rolling.

Let’s face it: Your “All you do is complain” argument is the last refuge of someone who really has no other argument to go on.

I’d welcome an Elizabeth Warren run for president. Name recognition may make Hillary the favorite, but Warren is the most likely Democrat to beat her—again.

Think of it this way: Yes, she lied about being an Indian; yes, she’s a Marxist pinko; yes, she panders to the worst of our fears; yes, she’s an academic hypocrite and fraud.

But she’s a big improvement over Obama and Hillary.

I think Warren will be the nominee from the Democrats for president in 2016.

If she wins we could name the NFL football team the Washington Warrens, although I'd be blamed by a lot people named Warren whose feelings could get hurt. Imagine the horror of having a cartoon Warren on the side of every helmet?

Well maybe not Marx but at least Mother Jones. My upset pick in the NFL tomorrow is Miami over New England.- What if Chevy Volts were Mortgages?

Dear Comrade Doctor,

Congrats on the upset pick. Hope you bet on that in Vegas. I was there last weekend. I can’t remember what the line was for the Dolphins to win their division but I seem to remember it wasn’t that good for them.

Otherwise, yes, you are always acting the fool.

Lincoln said that labor was prior to, thus the superior of capital. So what?

He was a Marxist?

Hardly.

Here are few quotes that distinguish Lincoln from Obama (and Marx):

"Property is the fruit of labor...property is desirable...is a positive good in the world. That some should be rich shows that others may become rich, and hence is just encouragement to industry and enterprise. Let not him who is houseless pull down the house of another; but let him labor diligently and build one for himself, thus by example assuring that his own shall be safe from violence when built."

"I don't believe in a law to prevent a man from getting rich; it would do more harm than good. So while we do not propose any war upon capital, we do wish to allow the humblest man an equal chance to get rich with everybody else."

"No country can sustain, in idleness, more than a small percentage of its numbers. The great majority must labor at something productive."

"The prudent, penniless beginner in the world, labors for wages awhile, saves a surplus with which to buy tools or land, for himself; then labors on his own account another while, and at length hires another new beginner to help him. This, say its advocates, is free labor---the just and generous, and prosperous system, which opens the way for all---gives hope to all, and energy, and progress, and improvement of condition to all."

Dear Comrade Claus,

Great idea!

You figure out how to sign me up to fight under the command of someone who isn’t an apologist for Islamic extremists and I’ll go.

But you have to go with me.

It was the act of an overly aggressive CIA, the same outfit that has repeatedly gotten us in trouble, and a lot of people killed, all over the world for the last 65 years or so. - Obama to ISIS: "If you like your terror army, you can keep your terror army"

Dear Comrade Y,

I don’t consider you a conservative, so what you have to say about Bush’s conservative credentials isn’t just questionable, but irrelevant.

You don’t even know what a neocon is.

Look, I’m tired of people just beating up on the intelligence community, including the CIA, especially when they know so little apparently what the intel community has done for the country.

The West won the Cold War largely on the backs of an intelligence community that was at war for 50 years. That they kept us out of World War III is to their credit.

But yet you niggle about the results, like any liberal would.

You know why Comrade Claus above hasn’t had to fight in the Middle East? Because people who I know personally both in the military, but even more importantly in the intelligence community, who have done all the fighting for him.

They ask neither for your permission or your thanks.

But get the hell off their back.

ericynot1 wrote: "Then why is it Bush's fault all the time?" It's not. But 75% of our current problems in the ME can be directly attributed to him. - Obama to ISIS: "If you like your terror army, you can keep your terror army"

Dear Comrade Y—again,

All of the problems of the Middle East belong in the Middle East amongst a savage people trapped in the fourth century.

That you’d blame George Bush for the 75 percent of the entire Middle East shows what problems with logic liberals like you have.

You’d blame a rash from poison ivy on the scratching a person does rather than the toxins in the plant.

We can disagree about how to treat the problem without assigning inordinate blame to one single individual.

Except of course in the case of Barack Hussein Obama. We all know that he is 100 percent to blame for the situation in the Middle East right now.

Cam25 wrote: Yes, let's talk about the real world, not the world that exists only in the minds of conservatives. Private schools do quite well because they get to select their student body. Public schools do not. If anyone deserves responsibility for the sad state of our schools, it is clearly those who have supported tax-cut mania over the past several decades. School spending doesn't matter? Well then why do wealthy people do everything possible to get their children into the best funded schools? Now, as for this rest-of-the-world that you seem to have caught wind of - can you name a single other country who provides quality education to all by use of vouchers? It's the same number of countries where access to health care is available to all from the free market - zero. So if you if you want to present yourself as a global authority on education, at least offer one concrete example of where your theories work. - Obama Demands Minimum Wage While Denying Minimum Education

Dear Comrade 25,

Sweden, idiot. I didn’t even have to look that up.

While not using vouchers, the public money goes along with the students to private schools in Sweden.

Your parody of rich people who have the best-funded public education systems is flawed as well. There are more poor people than rich people. Everyone gets one vote, ergo…

In Denver County Colorado, on average a school district to which rich people do not flee got $6,900 per pupil in 2012. Douglas County Colorado, a school district that enjoys the highest per capita income in the state, got $6,200 per pupil from the state.

The rich people in Douglas County, in short, subsidize the failing schools in Denver.

If you are going to preach about the real world, at least know about the world, really.

Freakin’ progressives. They get in the way of progress by how much they pretend to know.

That’s it for this week,
