Murder is the ultimate violation of a person's rights. You deprive them of life, all because you don't like them for some reason. This isn't self-defense; this is a human rights violation by an individual.

And following a federal agent being shot in Los Angeles, an activist said ICE wasn't the only one with guns.

The activist in question was one Ray Gochez, who is a history teacher in Los Angeles. It really makes you wonder what he's teaching his students. Then again, it seems pretty clear that whatever it is, it's probably not anything based on fact.

However, acting like that just a few hours after a federal agent was shot isn't really the greatest look. Neither is suggesting that other agents can and will be shot for doing their job of enforcing the law.

And yet, according to Libs of TikTok, he's a human rights award winner, apparently.

The post continues:

This teacher, who is paid by YOUR tax dollars, is out threatening the lives of ICE agents and protecting criminal illegals.

Of course, what we need to remember about these human rights awards is that they're awards created by leftists to celebrate other leftists for doing leftist things and calling them human rights work.

Chopping the genitals off of an eight-year-old kid? That's defending human rights. Saying people should keep their hands off of children who are too young to consent to something irreversible? Totally a violation of human rights.

The California Teachers Association, which gave Gochez this award, also has links on its homepage for a conference discussing LGBT issues set for this weekend, and a "Social Justice Committee Support Meeting" on October 30th.

It seems safe to say they won't be linking to the NRA Annual Meeting when it rolls back around, nor will there be a link to anything from Turning Point USA, either.

So yeah, that's his "human rights award" in a nutshell.

As such, I don't expect that award will be rescinded with his open advocacy for violence against federal law enforcement officers actually enforcing the law. Quite the contrary, actually. I suspect he might get another award for it. After all, these people think open borders are a human right, but re-establishing your ancestral homeland instead of handing it over to a group that someone just made up out of the blue is colonialism.

Why should we be surprised if they give him another such award?

But while murdering a police officer of any kind of enforcing the law is a clear violation of human rights, Gochez doesn't seem to really care about actual human rights. Not based on those comments he made, anyway.

He's probably much more interested in making sure illegal immigrant rapists are free to get sex changes on the American taxpayer's dime or something like that.
