Attorney General Bill Barr Dominates The Bagpipes With An Enthusiasm Unknown To Mankind

Whether you loved or hated the way Attorney General Bill Barr handled special counsel Robert Mueller's Russian investigation report, there is one thing about the man that Americans should agree upon -- he can play the bagpipes like no other.

His talent was revealed Wednesday during an event with a group of U.S. attorneys and the New York Police Department's bagpipe playing team, The Emerald Society.

According to CBS News, Barr has had an illustrious musical career, including serving as a board member of the U.S. Piping Foundation from 2017 - 2018.

via CBS News:

The attorney general's bagpipe playing is far from just a hobby. According to Pipes and Drums Magazine, Barr takes the bagpipe very seriously -- he's been playing since before his legal career began. Barr was a member of the now defunct U.S.-based Grade 2 Denny & Dunipace Pipe Band – which later evolved into the Scottish & Irish Imports and City of Washington – from the early-1980s until the early-1990s. Barr played with the band in a number of competitions, including the World Championships.

Apparently, the Emerald Society played a few songs and then Barr ducked out of the room. He then re-entered on stage with his bagpipes in tow, as the band started playing "Scotland the Brave." He joined in, and afterward received a standing ovation from the room.

What an entertaining break from politics as usual.
