The party’s Jewish caucus criticized the resolution as “troubling” and warned it risks alienating Jewish voters. Even the Democratic Majority for Israel spoke out against the measure. Yet Cooper, seen as the party’s top Senate recruit in North Carolina, won’t condemn these radical views or offer any public comment.
This comes as North Carolina Democrats passed a resolution accusing Israel of genocide and calling for an arms embargo, Cooper declined to condemn the anti-Israel extremists within his party. Today, he doubled down on his silence, refusing once again to speak out against them.
"Roy Cooper is refusing to condemn extreme, anti-Israel Democrats again, and it exposes who he really is: a radical, pro-Hamas leftist,” NRSC Regional Press Secretary Nick Puglia said. "Cooper’s silence exposes his true character as a radical, pro-Hamas leftist and sends a clear message to Jewish North Carolinians that he’s with the extremists in his party and not them."
Cooper's stance shows he is willing to embrace the far-left wing of his party, even when their positions are extreme and divisive. His continued silence speaks louder than words, painting him as a politician who prioritizes radical ideological loyalty over principled leadership and support for a key U.S. ally.
