Update: Former Senator, NASA Official in AK Plane Crash

Rescue crews are now on the scene of a deadly plane crash in Alaska and friends & family of Ted Stevens believe the former U.S. Senator was on board the plane that went down.  Former

NASA Administrator Sean O'Keefe was also on the airplane, according to EADS North America.  The condition of all the passengers is still unknown, but the AP is reporting that at least five of the nine passengers have been confirmed dead.  So far, the statuses of O'Keefe and Stevens remain unknown or undisclosed.

Update: News reports from the scene are indicating that former Sen. Ted Stevens was killed in last night's deadly plane crash near Dillingham, Alaska:
Dave Dittman, a former aide and longtime family friend of former Sen. Ted Stevens says Stevens was killed in a plane crash near Dillingham Monday night. Nine people were on board, including former NASA Chief Sean O'Keefe. Five people were killed in the crash, but other identities were not known, nor are the conditions of the survivors.
Stevens was 86.
