Tea Partiers: Beware the Fake Brew

Dear tea partiers: Be on the look out for tea party posers!

The Mackinac Center for Public Policy in Michigan is warning tea party voters to keep an eye out for third-party "Tea Party" activists that do not have the support of the tea party movement.

Earlier this week, Republicans uncovered a petition drive underway to create a third party called the "Tea Party."  The petition drive is reportedly being carried out by Progressive Campaigns, Inc., based out of California.  Local local tea party leaders are warning voters that it's a liberal plot to pull tea party votes away from actual conservative candidates.

The Michigan Democratic Party is denying any ties to the petition drive.
