NAACP to Honor Van Jones as 'National Treasure'

Self-described communist/9-11 truther/potty mouth/former green jobs czar Van Jones apparently still has his fair share of fans across the country, despite being ushered out of the Obama administration under cover of darkness last year. Most notably, the NAACP is praising Jones as a national "treasure" and plans to honor Jones with one of its Image Awards.

Fox News reports:

"Van Jones is an American treasure," [NAACP president and CEO Benjamin Todd] Jealous writes in an opinion piece posted at CNN.com. "He is quite simply one of the few Americans in recent years to have generated powerful new ideas that are creating new jobs."

Jealous says, "Van Jones also may be the most misunderstood man in America." On the contrary, I think we all understand Jones just fine and we don't want to buy what the guy is selling.
