Gay Marriage Advocates in CA Court Today

Gay Marriage advocates are taking their case against California's Prop 8 to court today--the first federal trial of a state ban on gay marriage.

In November 2008, California voters voted to ban same-sex marriage and gay rights activists have been trying to have the decision overturned ever since.  The trial is taking place in San Fransisco and is expected to last about three weeks.  Presiding over the case will be Federal District Court Chief Judge Judge Vaughn Walker, who was appointed by President George H. W. Bush.

Whatever the decision in this case, it's going to be repealed.  Expect this one to go to the Supreme Court, folks.
