Stormy Daniels had an obvious assessment regarding her part in the multi-pronged legal assault on Donald Trump: She should've kept her mouth shut. The former adult entertainer who allegedly had a tryst with the former president was receiving hush money and could have kept all of it but decided to break her non-disclosure agreement, file a lawsuit against Trump, and solicit the legal counsel of Michael Avenatti, who is now a convicted felon serving at least 20 years for wire fraud, extortion, and a host of other federal crimes.
The coup de grace is that Daniels lost her legal fight and must reimburse Trump's legal fees, which are hundreds of thousands of dollars. This reported affair would never take down Trump during the 2016 election. And now that Avenatti's slimy underbelly has been exposed, it only added another layer of certainty regarding that conclusion.
I don't feel bad for her—no one should. She knew what she was doing. She wanted attention, which earned her a book deal in 2018, but all that cash evaporated once she lost her legal claim, and then Avenatti reportedly ripped her off to the tune of $300,000. Daniels' odyssey with lawyers and the courts lost her money, privacy, and credibility (via NY Post):

The dejected-sounding porn star admitted on UK TV that she fears Trump, 76, will “get away with” the criminal charges he faces tied to alleged hush-money payouts to hide a tryst ahead of the 2016 election.
“I spoke my truth, but it was just for nothing,” Daniels, 44, complained on “Good Morning Britain” Wednesday.
“I just feel like if people don’t want to face facts and see the truth … then you know what, I’d rather have had the time back with my family,” she said, without elaborating on why she now feels Trump may get off.
“I almost feel like humans aren’t really worth saving at this point,” she said dejectedly.
Okay, I'm not defending Daniels in any sense, but maybe things would have been different if she had a lawyer who wasn't a crook. It's already hard enough coming forward with such an explosive allegation with all the media speculation. That difficulty is compounded when you have incompetent legal counsel. But she did come forward and it blew up in her face when it didn't have to—and now she's reaping the fruits of her quixotic foray into the wars against Donald Trump. She got nothing. You can't even say it was a Pyrrhic victory because at least King Pyrrhus won some battles against the early Roman Republic. Daniels went all-in and lost everything on a meager two-pair.
You reap what you sow, lady. Now pay Mr. Trump his legal fees.
