You cannot make this up. I mean how dense do you have to be to even come to this conclusion? Apparently, Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-MN) is disgusted that her patriotism is being questioned. Oh, and she’s doesn’t like what she thinks is a Muslims only-oriented line of questioning when it comes to denouncing terrorism. You see it’s a bit ironic because she noted that the insinuation is that they’re somehow for these extreme positions (via Huffington Post):
Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-Minn.) and other Muslim politicians are constantly being asked to condemn groups and issues that her non-Muslim colleagues are not asked to answer for, and she’s tired of it.
Speaking on the opening panel at the Muslim Collective for Equitable Democracy conference on Tuesday, the congresswoman took a question from Ani Zonneveld, founder of the Los Angeles-based group Muslims for Progressive Values. Zonneveld asked if Omar and Rashida Tlaib (D-Mich.) would come out and condemn female genital mutilation.

The room at Tuesday’s panel, filled with approximately 100 people attending this historic gathering of American Muslims in politics, applauded Omar’s response to Zonneveld.
But Omar, who sported a gray dress and a white hijab, was not finished.
“I am quite disgusted, really, to be honest, that as Muslim legislators we are constantly being asked to waste our time speaking to issues that other people are not asked to speak to,” she continued, noting the assumption that Muslims “somehow support” these issues.
“So I want to make sure that the next time someone is in an audience and is looking at me, and Rashida and Abdul and Sam, that they asked us the proper questions that they will probably ask any member of Congress.”
Hmmm, well, first, I guess we should welcome her to the club, begrudgingly, because Republicans are asked to denounce every local nutjob who says something terrible any place, any time, and every day. In the era of ‘Orange man…bad,’ all Trump voters and Republicans are asked to denounce minutiae of every crackpot in the country and without cause. They just hate us. We don’t ask for it, it’s just forced upon us. No more. That’s one of the reasons why Trump is president. All previous GOP nominees endured this abuse; Trump fights back hard.

With Omar, she brings all of the criticisms she just denounced upon herself. She supports the viciously anti-Israel Boycott, Disinvestment, and Sanctions movement, whose co-founder wants to destroy Israel. She has made odd remarks about al-Qaeda. She has refused to denounce left-wing violence, like the Antifa activist who recently attacked an ICE facility. She has peddled anti-Semitic tropes. She has tried to play this horrific game of moral equivalency concerning our intervention in Somalia; she appears to side with the militias who were killing our troops there. The Huffington Post said she “shut down” calls for Muslims to denounce things…that should be denounced. Well, anytime a liberal publication writes that it’s usually the opposite. Sorry, when you cannot condemn the terrorists who executed the 9/11 attacks and trivialize them as an event where “some people did something,” you deserve to be taken to the woodshed. Why can’t you condemn them? It’s not that hard. Radical Islamic terrorists murdered Americans. Not hard, Omar. All of the pressure brought on you is because of your actions. Period. So, quit complaining. Stop being stupid and denounce politically motivated violence, terrorism, and anti-Semitism—which everyone has pretty much already done in when asked, but you. And speaking in generalities, these are things that everyone can easily denounce when asked, except if you’re a Democrat.
