Get Wrecked, SJWs: Even The Chinese Were Totally Fine With A White Teenager Wearing Their Clothes to Prom

The debate (if there ever was one) is over. It’s done. Finished. No one cares that a white girl wore a Chinese-based prom dress that sent progressive Twitter into a rage, once again showing how the political correctness debate isn’t grounded in right vs. wrong or oppressed vs. oppressor. It’s reality and fantasyland. It’s sentient beings vs. the lizard people and the far left has channeled the latter in this crap concept called cultural appropriation. No one but the most left of left-wingers cares. Anyone can eat Mexican, Chinese, or Italian, and they don’t need anyone damn permission to do so. It’s a faux debate among the most liberal, privileged, and insufferably condescending sects of this country, usually confined to the coastal and urban confines of America that thinks the Russians toyed with vote counts to tilt the election in favor of Donald Trump.

Sadly, Keziah Daum was roped into this insane political correctness war when she decided to wear a qipao to prom, a dress with Chinese roots. It was not done out of disrespect. It was not done in malice. She wanted to wear something unique. This wasn’t mocking Chinese culture, but some thickheads thought so and decided to play professor on an issue that no one cares about. Not even the Chinese care about this, with some even saying that they have adopted aspects of Western culture. In all, China seems to have endorsed Daum’s prom choice and are not offended in the slightest (via South China Morning Post):

Keziah Daum, an 18-year-old from Utah in the United States, who has no Chinese roots, was accused of “cultural appropriation” after posting photographs on Twitter that featured her in a traditional Chinese qipao, or cheongsam.

One Twitter user, Jeremy Lam, had written: “My culture is not your ... prom dress.” The tweet generated more than 40,000 retweets, nearly 180,000 likes and thousands of comments on the social media platform.

But those commenting in mainland China were less opposed to Daum’s dress.

“Very elegant and beautiful! Really don’t understand the people who are against her, they are wrong!” one person commented on an article by Wenxue City News. “I suggest the Chinese government, state television or fashion company invite her to China to display her cheongsam!”

“It is not cultural theft,” another wrote. “It is cultural appreciation and cultural respect.”

Weibo users added that Daum looked beautiful and criticised those who have accused her.

“Culture has no borders,” one wrote. “There is no problem, as long as there is no malice or deliberate maligning. Chinese cultural treasures are worth spreading all over the world.”

So, that was fun. And it was also the Chinese serving a piping hot cup of shut the hell up to the social justice warriors of the world. Mind your own damn business. It’s refreshing that there is still that many more normal people out there who view the PC agenda pushed by the progressive Left as utterly ridiculous. You don’t know what’s better. You don’t get to be the culture police, especially when that culture you’re supposedly trying to protect doesn’t care if someone who is different wears an article of their clothing. This was an epic rake to the face, a reminder that there are other more important things in life than trying to torch a teenager for going to prom. And with that, to all the progressives out there, I hope you losers find some purpose in life than trying to make all of us as miserable as you are.

Daum said even with the firestorm she unintentionally created because liberals are losers, she would wear the same dress.
