Oh My: Jill Stein To Take Pennsylvania Recount Challenge Into Federal Court

Oh My: Jill Stein To Take Pennsylvania Recount Challenge Into Federal Court

We have seriously passed a point of unseriousness here. No, we have way passed that point with this obnoxious recount attempt on behalf of Green Party candidate Jill Stein, who alleges that hacking occurred on the night of the election in Wisconsin, Pennsylvania, and Michigan. Her legal team has zero evidence that such a cyber attacked occurred other than channeling a “people have said” explanation for this multi-million dollar effort.

In Pennsylvania, Stein withdrew her legal challenge to the results of the election in the state, but vowed to bring this matter before the federal courts (via USA Today):

A Green Party-backed campaign will take its fight for a statewide recount of Pennsylvania’s votes in the presidential election to the federal courts after it dropped a case in the state courts.

“We are committed to this fight to protect the civil and voting rights of all Americans,” Jonathan Abady, lead counsel for the recount campaign, said in a statement. “Over the past several days, it has become clear that the barriers to verifying the vote in Pennsylvania are so pervasive and that the state court system is so ill-equipped to address this problem that we must seek federal court intervention.”

There will be a Green Party press conference and rally outside Trump Tower in New York on Monday.

We’ve reached new level of absurdity in this because it was Stein who blew the Pennsylvania challenge in the first place; she missed the voter-initiated recount deadline, which was on November 21. Her only legal avenue was to challenge the statewide results in court, which called for her to produce evidence of hacking or massive voter fraud to initiate an official recount. As we (and other outlets) have reported, there is zero evidence to suggest that. So, the only obstacle Stein truly faced was her own incompetence.

Stein has raised more for this recount crusade than for her entire presidential campaign. Over $6 million have been raised, feeding off the despair and desperation of millions of liberal voters who are still shell shocked over President-elect Donald J. Trump’s upset win over Clinton.

She has filed recount challenges in Michigan, Pennsylvania, and Wisconsin, suing the latter for rejecting a mandated hand recount request, and for not going fast enough. Trump’s legal team, along with other allies of the president-elect, have filed challenges to Stein’s recount in these three states, with the Michigan attorney general filing a lawsuit to end the process altogether, saying it would cost the taxpayers millions of dollars over a result that no one found controversial. The Obama administration, through the Department of Homeland Security, said there was no spike in suspicious cyber activity that would suggest a hacking attempt on the night of the election, and that the results of the 2016 election reflected the will of the people.

Ms. Stein, you lost, Hillary Clinton lost, and Donald Trump won. There was nothing questionable about the election results and you’re going to get embarrassed again in federal court.
