It Happened Again: Democratic Congresswoman Can’t Name One Clinton Accomplishment

Democratic Congresswoman Debbie Dingell (D-MI) had some trouble naming a single accomplishment of Hillary Clinton’s during her tenure as Secretary of State on Tuesday. CNN’s Chris Cuomo was the one who asked her about it, where she said that she got on that plane and brought people together. The Washington Free Beacon clipped the exchange:

“You know … she was an outstanding secretary of state,” Dingell said. “She worked on issues from one side of the world to the other. She got on that plane and she brought people together, and in the [Middle] East, it’s one of the most volatile regions of the country. I know it, because I’m living in Dearborn, Michigan, which has the largest population of Muslims. There are difficult times, but she has the trust and respect of the leaders of those countries.”

Well, I’m not so sure that Dearborn, Michigan is the most accurate socioeconomic gauge on what happens in the Middle East, like Saudi Arabia—but it’s clear that Democrats have nothing to say about Clinton’s time as our top diplomat other than she flew a lot. Oh, and there’s the whole pushing a failed foreign policy and being “extremely careless” concerning safeguarding sensitive information as well.

But it’s déjà vu. During my MRCTV/CNSNews days, Dan Joseph and I ventured into the Democratic National Committee’s winter meeting in March of 2014, where we asked DNC members if they can also name a single achievement. The answers weren’t any better other than they liked how she represented us aboard, and that Clinton didn’t create any more problems—or something.
