Cruz: Obama is Practicing 'Photo Op Foreign Policy'

Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) was asked what did he mean by leveling ISIS’s capital of al-Raqqa in Syria, which he then took as a chance to rip into President Obama’s foreign policy, comparing it to nothing more than something to put in a photo opportunity.

“Right now, Obama is launching between 15 and 30 air attacks a day. It is photo op foreign policy. We need to use overwhelming air power. We need to be arming the Kurds,” he said.

Sen. Marco Rubio (R-FL) also took a swipe at the president’s national security policy, saying he wished Obama didn’t speak at all after the horrific San Bernardino shooting, which is increasingly looking like a terror attack. He didn't offer any assurances that he was protecting the nation; it was a photo op to run down things that we're already doing–and they're not working. The FBI is still investigating. Yet, recently Vice Chairman of the U.S. Joint Chiefs of Staff Paul Selva told the Senate Armed Services Committee that 40 percent of the time, our fighters don’t find any ISIS targets to hit. There are also reports that the Obama administration blocks 75 percent of airstrike requests.

This development coupled with the utter collapse of Obama’s smart power, and the fact that terrorism is one of the top concerns of American voters; doesn’t bode well for Democrats, who have taken to mocking Republicans for pointing out the glaring security flaws concerning the screening process for Syrian refugees. FBI Director James Comey admitted that they don’t have the resources to screen every refugee.
