Sen. Sam Brownback is taking heat from Pro-Life conservatives over his support of Kansas Governor Kathleen Sebelius for Health and Human Services (HHS) Secretary.

Why are conservatives up in arms over this? As Fox reported:

"Anti-abortion activists are planning strong opposition to Kathleen Sebelius, President Obama's pick for secretary of health and human services, saying the Kansas governor's positions on abortion and her ties to a late-term abortion provider are too extreme for her to be in charge of America's health care policy.

Kansas-based Operation Rescue says it will launch a full-out campaign against Sebelius because, as governor, she has had the support of Dr. George Tiller, who has been indicted for allegedly performing late-term abortions on underage girls"

Brownback has previously angered conservatives over his positions on various issues such as illegal immigration and the UAW bailout, but it is surprising that he would ever come down on the wrong side of the Life issue.

The conservative criticism of Brownback has even hit is Facebook page where, at the time of this writing, conservatives are expressing their displeasure on his wall.

Brownback is retiring from the Senate and is currently running for Governor of Kansas.
