By the way, yesterday at the Republican Governor's meeting, MN Gov. Tim Pawlenty said we need to find ways to apply Reagan's principles from the 70s and 80s to today.  ... This is the wrong way of looking at it.  Reagan did not invent classical liberal principles such as individual freedom and limited government -- which go back centuries (think Locke, Adam Smith, et al.).  Reagan actually modernized these ideas by applying these principles to his time, just as we should do...
