McCain's Talk with the Times ...

Back in December, John McCain and his laywer Bob Bennett met with the NY Times, and, they thought, their arguments and evidence convinced them to spike the story.

As Bennett tells it this morning on TV, he demonstrated to the Times that, in fact, McCain took positions directly adverse to the interests of this lobbyist.  Byron York has more on that.

The NY Times has a lot of questions to answer.  If there is more to come out tomorrow, that's one thing.  Otherwise, I think they have a big credibility issue ...
