John McCain: Proud Conservative

John McCain has released a new web ad, titled "Proud Conservative."  It features pictures of McCain with Ronald Reagan, as well as clips from Jack Kemp, Mike Huckabee,

and Sam Brownback -- and quotes from Phil Gramm and Tom Coburn.  (It does a nice job of combining proven social conservative endorsements with proven fiscal conservative endorsements).

In my estimation, though not highly-produced, this is a very good "message" spot.  In order to believe the argument that McCain isn't acceptable to conservatives, you have to either believe that all these conservative leaders who have endorsed him are either traitors -- or fools ...
