There is good news coming out of South Dakota, regarding Sen. Tim Johnson's health. The AP reports he is "showing evidence of more functional, spontaneous speech as he recovers from a brain hemorrhage last month ..."

Here's what I'm hearing (on the political front):
Word around town is that Sen. Johnson will finish out his term. Rep. Stephanie Herseth will run for his seat. And Sen. Johnson's son will run for the at-large House seat.
Both Herseth and the younger Johnson will be hard to beat.
