The Mitt/McCain Amnesty Issue

As an addendum to Matt's post on Mitt's ad that does call McCain's plan "amnesty," despite Mitt's assertions to the contrary, I wanted to note that I've seen this ad twice since I've been in New Hampshire, which refers to "amnesty" twice within a few seconds.

I have no particular problem with Romney characterizing McCain's plan as a form of amnesty, but he shouldn't say he didn't. Very odd that he would not have seen the ads. I'd imagine New Hampshire residents will notice the discrepancy since the ad is running here and the exchange in the debate last night was fairly high-profie. Wonder what will come up tonight?
