Kerry missed the FISA vote, to go the Massachusetts and hang out with Laura Ingraham at a cancer-research benefit bike ride (well done to both), but his spokesperson made sure to give him cover so he can still rail against the program.
Kerry spokeswoman Amy Brundage said Kerry strongly opposed the FISA measure and “was prepared to return to the Senate if he was able to affect final outcome of the FISA vote.”
