McConnell: 'Civility Does Not Mean Capitulation'



John Hawkins was in on a conference call today with newly minted Senate Minority Leader, Mitch McConnell. I was invited, but couldn't get away from the filming of HamNation in time. Luckily John's on the ball.

Like John, I have a hard time believing tales of a Republican backbone until I see it, even though I think McConnell's a good guy. We shall see, but as John notes:

 After all, we've already had Arlen Specter running off to Syria and Chuck Hagel saying Bush won't get support for his "Alice in Wonderland" policy of sending more troops to Iraq.

Then, there's McCain on conservatives and their fixation on the "goddamned fence." Feel the love.

Well, at least we're not crashing each other's press conferences...yet.
