Trump's Monday Morning Tweetstorm: Surveillance, John Podesta, and Hillary Clinton

Donald Trump kicked off Monday praising Fox News for a report that exposed the “crooked scheme” against him.

“Such amazing reporting on unmasking and the crooked scheme against us by @foxandfriends. "Spied on before nomination." The real story.”

Fox & Friends tweeted about the “bombshell” report early Monday about an intelligence official who unmasked the names of people affiliated with the Trump campaign. According to the report, the official was “well-known, very high up, very senior in the intelligence world” and is known to House Intelligence Committee Chairman Devin Nunes.

“The main issue in this case, is not only the unmasking of these names of private citizens, but the spreading of these names for political purposes that have nothing to do with national security or an investigation into Russia’s interference in the U.S. election,” a congressional source told Fox News.

The tweet comes after the president said Sunday that “the real story turns out to be surveillance and leaking.”

“Find the leakers,” he added.

Update: Trump just posted another Tweet about the Fox report:

On Podesta, the president asked whether “the brother of John Podesta paid big money to get the sanctions on Russia lifted? Did Hillary know?”

In March, the Daily Caller reported that John Podesta’s brother, Tony—described as a “Democrat super lobbyist”—was paid $170,000 to end U.S. sanctions on a Russian bank.

The president also brought up the fact that Hillary Clinton was given a debate questions ahead of time.

“Did Hillary Clinton ever apologize for receiving the answers to the debate? Just asking!” he wrote.

In March, former interim DNC Chair Donna Brazile admitted to passing along questions to Hillary Clinton.
