For all their posturing in front of the big, bad bank executives, the big, bad bank executives have endorsed the Democrats' financial overhaul plans.

Does this mean the big banks have suddenly turned altruistic? Of course not. They just know that the regulations will hurt the little banks while protecting their industry and implicitly giving them a government guarantee to be bailed out.
