We Finally Get to Find Out What's In the Bill!

Well, not really. Democrats seem to think so, though. We smart conservatives already know what's in the bill: Medicare slashed to pay for a new entitlement, guaranteed issue, community rating, individual mandate, investment taxes, savings taxes, prison sentences for those not complying with the individual mandate, 16,000 new IRS jobs, budget gimmicks... and that's just the beginning of the list.

The progressive Left went up in hoorays when Obamacare passed the House last night. For months, they tried to convince people that Obamacare is in some way "conservative." Yet they cheer unreservedly when it is finally pushed through.

On the plus side, we get to put Obamacare's provisions to the test. We get to see if the bill magically provides insurance to everyone, lowers costs, lowers health care premiums, reduces the deficit, bends the cost curve and saves Medicare. The bill has been sold as being able to do all of these things. If, however, Obamacare raises costs, raises premiums, does nothing to slow the rate of cost growth and exacerbates Medicare's problems, will the Democrats apologize? Will they admit their mistake and work, together with the Democrats who voted against the bill and their GOP opposition, to repeal Obamacare?

I think we know the answer to that question.
