Max Baucus Admits True Cost of Obamacare Bill: $2.5 Trillion

The health care bill's cost is estimated from 2010 to 2019. However, the relevant (and costly) provisions of the bill don't kick in until 2014. Max Baucus admitted as much on the floor: the true ten-year cost will be $2.5 trillion.

Baucus: "Health care reform, whether you use a ten-year number or when you start in 2010 or start in 2014, wherever you start at, so it is still either $1 trillion or it's $2.5 Trillion, depending on where you start…"

And it's worth nothing that this is still an under-estimate.
