Former Attorney General Eric Holder praised former FBI Deputy Director Andrew McCabe Monday afternoon, shortly after he was ousted from the Bureau.
FBI Deputy Director Andrew McCabe is, and has been, a dedicated public servant who has served this country well. Bogus attacks on the FBI and DOJ to distract attention from a legitimate criminal inquiry does long term, unnecessary damage to these foundations of our government.

Holder was voted in criminal and civil contempt by Congress during his time in the Obama administration for document stonewalling during the Fast and Furious scandal.
News broke last month McCabe would retire early, but planned to leave when he was fully eligible to receive federal retirement benefits. The reasons for his termination today, instead of previously or in the future, remain unclear.
A source familiar tells Fox News it would be accurate to say McCabe was, “Removed.” Further, I’m told this is most likely the earliest date possible for the FBI to remove him and still leave him fully eligible for his pension. #FoxNews

Source familiar says that, in advance of the IG report, McCabe was told to begin what is referred to as “terminal leave.”

After FBI Director James Comey was fired last year, McCabe served as acting director for a short period of time. His wife ran for a state senate seat in Virginia and accepted hundreds-of-thousands in campaign donations from a Clinton tied super PAC.
Last fall Christopher Wray was confirmed as the new and permanent director for the Bureau.
