Nogales Border Patrol Processing Center Opens Up For Tours With Strict Rules For Visitors

After weeks of keeping media out of the Nogales Border Patrol processing center and threatening Border Patrol agents with firings after photos showing children sleeping in chain-linked cages were published in media reports, Border Patrol officials are finally opening up their facilities for viewing. However, there are strict rules for those who will be visiting.

Tucson radio host Jon Justice will be on a tour today. These are the rules he was given prior to his arrival at the facility.

Thank your for your RSVP. In order to protect the safety and privacy of the children, the following rules for participation will be required:

– No recording devices will be allowed, including cell phones.

– No questions will be allowed during the tour – No interacting with staff and children at the facility.

As a reminder, while media has been banned for weeks, officials in Washington D.C. have been approving all access tours for people like Rev. Jarrett Maupin, an Al Sharpton ally.
