Obama Refuses to Call Libya Attack Terrorism

During his interview on "The View" which is scheduled to air today, President Obama refused to describe the attack on the U.S. consolate in Benghazi that left four Americans, including U.S. Ambassador Chris Stevens dfead, as a "terrorist attack."

During an appearance on the daytime TV show "The View," Obama was asked if the attack was an act of terrorism. Administration officials began labeling it that way last week, but Obama didn't use precisely that language.

"There's no doubt that the kind of weapons that were used, the ongoing assault, that it wasn't just a mob action. What's clear is that, around the world, there are still a lot of threats out there," Obama said, according to a pool report.

Considering Obama's adminstration stopped using "war on terror" a long time ago this isn't surprising, however, his own press secretary is calling it an act of terror (after lying for a week saying the attack was in response to a video) so it's fair to say Obama is just trying to keep the word "terrorism" out of his mouth so he doesn't accidently offend someone.
