Gingrich: Super Committee Dumbest Idea Ever

Presidential candidate and former Speaker of the House Newt Gingrich didn't mince words last night when he was asked about a new deal involving tax increases. Gingrich called the super committee, developed as part of the debt deal passed last week, "secret phoney business."

"I think this super committee is about as dumb an idea as Washington has come up with in my lifetime."
