You know you live near the "more secure than ever" U.S.-Mexico border when you build a watch tower on your personal property to guard against illegal immigrants and to keep your family safe.

The Center for Immigration Studies has produced a mini-documentary series following a day in the life of Arizona rancher Richard Humphries, whose closest neighbor is Mexico. For Humphries the threat of illegal immigration on a daily basis is very real and he built a watch tower onto his home as defense. The series comes just one year after the March 2010 murder of rancher Robert Krentz. Krentz was conducting work on his ranch in Southern Arizona when he was killed by an illegal immigrant.
