It was sure entertaining to see the outrage cycle created after podcast host Joe Rogan invited Dr. Peter Hotez on his podcast to debate Democratic presidential candidate Robert Kennedy Jr. about the pros and cons of vaccines.
Because of the high-profile nature of everyone involved, it is natural for the discourse of how cowardly Hotez is to not take a stand for beliefs he freely spouts on other platforms to last for days. Hotez, though, has been on a week-long meltdown from the challenge.
In addition to retweeting every single comment that praised him day and after day, Hotez has spent the last week debating on Twitter why he should not participate in a debate on a podcast. More than anything, this episode has exposed that those who hold a lot of power in major industries do not like to face adversarial discussions because it would expose them as frauds even further.
Now, Hotez is complaining he's enduring a "harassment" campaign when Rogan moved on from the topic days ago.
So let's see now:

Should he have a discussion with those who do not buy what he has to say right away, he would be confronted with his constantly changing rhetoric regarding COVID-19 and the vaccines produced for it. Videos have been put together showing how the goalpost constantly changed.
