This University Just Canned a Trans Instructor for Anti-Christian Discrimination

Do you remember Samantha Fulnecky? She’s the student a trans graduate instructor gave a zero on an essay to because she invoked God and the Bible instead of a bunch of nonsense.

Well, the University of Oklahoma just came to a conclusion in her religious discrimination appeal and, to everyone's surprise, they actually found in Samantha’s favor.

The university made the decision to suspend Mel Curtis, a trans instructor who thought it was cool to fail people for their Christian faith. It's not a huge leap to assume Curtis would've been pretty objective if it had been a student who ripped their argument from the Koran, however.

They made the announcement over X on Monday afternoon:

“A student's claim of religious discrimination on an individual assignment in an online Psychology Course by a graduate teaching assistant has come to a resolution,” the statement began.

“Based on an examination of the graduate teaching assistant’s prior grading standards and patterns, as well as the graduate teaching assistant’s own statements related to this matter, it was determined that the graduate teaching assistant was arbitrary in the grading of this specific paper,” the statement continued. “The graduate teaching assistant will no longer have instructional duties at the University.”

“We are committed to teaching students how to think, not what to think,” the statement ended. “The University will continue to review best practices to ensure that its instructors have the comprehensive training necessary to objectively assess their students’ work without limiting their ability to teach, inspire, and elevate our next generation.”

Of course, the leftists in the comments are raging over the fact that one of their own was held accountable for their actions. The “tolerance for me, but not for thee” mindset from these folks applies especially harshly to the people who think it’s wrong to mutilate your children (not a particularly high bar as it is).

Something tells me that firing a graduate instructor for an undergraduate Psychology course isn't putting Oklahoma status as a top-tier research university in any danger, but whatever helps them sleep at night.

As a former Catholic missionary on college campuses, I can tell you that these are victories that Christians are rarely able to obtain. It’s always a surprise to see a university administration stand up for what’s right in the face of such tremendous pressure from rabid leftists, most of whom are on their staff anyway.

Merry Christmas and score one for the good guys.
