Obama Will Skip 9/11 Memorial At Ground Zero; Plans Speech For Pentagon

Obama has managed to avoid one of the worst controversies of his presidency by steering clear of Ground Zero during the anniversary of 9/11 this Saturday.  Instead, he'll give a speech at the Pentagon, while Vice President Joe Biden does the honors in New York.

While Obama also spoke at the Pentagon in 2009, it seems awfully convenient that he would ditch the site just a few short weeks after his controversial comments about putting a mosque near the 9/11 memorial site.
