The best information from the interview came when President went on record as supporting the Louisiana Purchase, the Florida Medicaid deal, and the Connecticut deal, all under the guise of supporting equal treatment “across states.” That was a clear dodge.
The President also went on record as saying that Obamacare did not change the need for a "doc fix," a Medicare stopgap that costs almost half of what the bill is expected to cost. According to the President, inheriting a problem does not obligate him to tackle it.
Excuses like, “Brett, let me finish,” and “Brett, let me finish my answers here,” crossed the President’s lips at least four different times. He wouldn’t talk about reconciliation, saying that “we have a vote on whether or not we’re going to maintain the status quo or change the system.”
