This 60 Minutes report on Medicare fraud in South Florida is an eye-opener. One former criminal estimated that 95% of the claims filed in South Florida were fraudulent.... with

half a trillion paid out each year in medicare benefits. Most enlightening was the interview with US Attorney General Eric Holder:

People, I don’t think, thought that something as well intentioned as Medicare and Medicaid would necessarily have attracted fraudsters. But of course it has.

This is something conservatives have been saying in the health care debate for quite some time.
