The Whole Foods Model of Health Care

John Mackey, founder of Whole Foods, has an important editorial today in the Wall Street Journal bashing Obama's health care plan and proposing a new one that follows principles he has abided by while growing his business.

Health care is a service that we all need, but just like food and shelter it is best provided through voluntary and mutually beneficial market exchanges. A careful reading of both the Declaration of Independence and the Constitution will not reveal any intrinsic right to health care, food or shelter. That's because there isn't any. This "right" has never existed in America
I'll reluctantly point this passage at Jane Hamsher, Ed Schultz, and Matt Corley, who are fond of perpetuating the idea that debate over basic rights does not even exist.
