Police had axed the permit for a second protest in front of the DC Treasury that would have accompanied the one currently taking place in Lafayette Square. Despite organizers having secured a permit for the Treasury protest ahead of time, protesters were not allowed to congregate there. Rumors have it that the Secret Service was involved.
