Hillary to Headline Hollywood Fundraiser for VA Gubernatorial Candidate McAuliffe

With the Virginia governor’s race quickly approaching, Terry McAuliffe is pulling out all the stops to get the victory. But we all know that this win is not going to come cheap. So McAuliffe is planning a high-dollar Beverly Hills fundraiser to fund the next couple weeks of the campaign. But this is no ordinary Hollywood event; Hillary Clinton has agreed to attend this event!

The former secretary of state will be headlining the luncheon which will be hosted by billionaire Haim Saban at the end of this month. Mrs. Clinton has not yet given an endorsement in the race, but she is slated to do so this weekend at an event called “Women for Terry” in Virginia.

But this isn’t Clinton’s first time at the rodeo. She has already hosted one fundraiser for McAuliffe and she is expected to host another this week in New York for the gubernatorial candidate. The Hollywood event is a little more special though, the tickets for this one will be $15,000 per person and $25,000 per couple.

The Clintons obviously are big fans of McAuliffe as Bill has already committed to attend an event this month for the campaign, but tickets for that one are only $2,500. I guess Bill will just have to get used to his wife upstaging him from now on, especially if she plans on running in 2016.

With all of these fundraisers in the last month of the campaign, those of us in the DC and Virginia can expect to see many more ads from the two candidates. In the latest poll McAuliffe was up by 9 points, but in the homestretch we will have to see how the spending plays a part.
