Tell All: Ex-Secret Service Agent Explains Why Hillary Should Never Be POTUS

If you're a conservative for whom character still counts -- and Ramesh Ponnuru persuasively argues that your ranks are dwindling in the year of Trump -- former Secret Service agent Gary Byrne is out with a new tell-all book exposing Hillary Clinton's unhinged and unethical conduct as First Lady, which Byrne says he witnessed personally. The retired offer details his allegations in the forthcoming Crisis of Character, and its revelatory contents are already generating buzz. The New York Post gives Hillary its signature front page treatment, based on snippets from Byrne's book:

Hillary Clinton has a “Jekyll and Hyde” personality that left White House staffers scared stiff of her explosive — and even physical — outbursts, an ex-Secret Service officer claims in a scathing new tell-all. Gary Byrne, who was posted outside the Oval Office when Bill Clinton was president, portrays Hillary as too “erratic, uncontrollable and occasionally violent” to become leader of the free world, according to advance promotional materials exclusively obtained by Page Six. The allegations from Byrne, a 29-year veteran of the military and federal law enforcement, threaten to derail her campaign days before she is expected to clinch the Democratic presidential nomination. He describes Hillary Clinton as acting friendly one moment, then raging the next...The book claims she repeatedly screamed obscenities at her husband, Secret Service personnel and White House staffers — all of whom lived in terror of her next tirade...“Hillary Clinton is now poised to become the Democratic nominee for president of the United States, but she simply lacks the integrity and temperament to serve in the office,” he writes.

The book, preview passages of which are available online, will also include new details about former President Clinton's infamously lurid conduct inside the Oval Office:

Byrne — who was subpoenaed to testify before the grand jury that investigated Bill Clinton’s affair with intern Monica Lewinsky — claims in the book that he interrupted the president’s sexual shenanigans in the White House. Byrne says he walked into a room where the president was “involved inappropriately with a woman” who was neither his wife nor Lewinsky. And he says he once threw out a White House towel stained with a woman’s lipstick — and the president’s “bodily fluids.” Byrne describes arriving for work one day in 1995 following a loud fight between the Clintons the night before. The dust-up, he says, left a light blue vase “smashed to bits” and Bill sporting a “real, live, put-a-steak-on-it black eye.”

Given his historically poor ratings on presidential temperament, it's inconceivable that Donald Trump won't seize on these accusations as a means of erasing at least some of Clinton's polling advantage on this important front. It's a tailor-made Trump attack: Crooked Hillary destroyed property and hit Bill during White House fights. The Secret Service says she has a crazy temper, and that she's treated people very badly, including the officers who protected her. It's a very big not good!   It's worth noting that Byrne isn't the only former member of the Clintons' protective detail that has painted a very unflattering portrait of how the Clintons, and Hillary especially, operate in private.  As Crisis of Character shoots up Amazon's pre-order charts, Bernie Sanders is speaking out and handing another gift to Republicans.  He's openly criticizing the Clinton Foundation's nexus of money and power, showing that serious concerns about the multimillion-dollar "slush fund" aren't just coming from conservatives:

"Do I have a problem when a sitting Secretary of State and a foundation run by her husband collects many, many dollars from foreign governments — governments which are dictatorships? "Yeah, I do have a problem with that. Yeah, I do," Sanders said on CNN's "State of the Union." When host Jake Tapper asked if he thought it was a conflict of interest, Sanders said, "I do."

Hillary has been dogged by serious questions surrounding her family's network of ostensibly charitable organizations, to which individuals and entities -- including foreign governments and regimes -- contributing large sums of money while lobbying the US government. One disturbing episode featured foreign Clinton donors successfully seeking to obtain a large stake in US uranium reserves, which required State Department approval. The foundation was also forced to re-file five years' worth of tax returns when it was revealed that they'd under-reported tens of millions in foreign income during Mrs. Clinton's tenure at Foggy Bottom. Critics have also raised the issue of both Bill and Hillary Clinton's lucrative speaking income being boosted substantially by people and corporations with obvious potential ulterior motives. I discussed Sanders' decision to hit Hillary from the Left on the Clinton Foundation racket on Fox & Friends First this morning, speculating how this campaign might have looked if he'd fought this hard from the very beginning -- including on those "damn emails:"
